Bio

My laboratory studies the molecular basis for sex differences in susceptibility to cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure. Specifically, we seek to understand cell signaling pathways, gene expression, and miRNA networks activated by estrogen, which protect the cardiomyocytes from cardiac hypertrophy.
